Barry F. Williams, President Barry F. Williams
was appointed the Director of the Baltimore County Office of Employment
and Training in June 2003. He comes to
BCOET from the Baltimore City School System where He started his professional life in Baltimore County during the 1970’s working in Drop-out Prevention and Juvenile Offender programs. Barry inherited a solid agency (BCOET) and is constantly challenging it to become more effective in delivering quality service to the customers of the region. Youth programs and working with the disenfranchised (disabled, ex-offenders, ESL) are of particular interest to him as the agency moves to better serve the needs of the region. Barry serves on numerous Workforce and Economic Councils and is an active participant on several boards, including Boy Scouts, Community Health Trust and the Walter’s Art Museum Audience Participation Committee. He is a guest columnist for the Catholic Review. He also serves on a number of local philanthropic and social committees. He is a member of the 1994 Baltimore County Leadership Program. As a youth, he attained the rank of Eagle Scout and was chief of the Order of the Arrow. He is a 2003 recipient of the Silver Beaver Award in scouting. Music has been a lifelong passion for Barry. He was a cantor for over 25 years and has sung in numerous groups, including the late Baltimore Symphony Chorus. Barry is a graduate of Loyola College, where he earned a Master of Education and completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland. Barry is married and the proud father of two adult sons. |

Sally Dunn, Secretary Sally Dunn is a Certified Fund Raising Executive who has worked in development for over 20 years and is currently the Associate Director of Development at McDonogh School. Prior to joining McDonogh School, Sally was Director of Sally has served in various vice-presidential positions with the Georgia Chapter of the Association of Fund Raising Professionals (AFP) and has been an instructor at AFP seminars. Sally also has been a speaker at many national development conferences. In addition to being Secretary of the Board of Concert Artists of Baltimore, Sally has been a member of the CAB Gala Committee for the past four years and chaired the 17th Anniversary Gala in 2004. Sally is also President of the Homeland Community Foundation. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pa., Sally received both her B.A. and M.A. from Carnegie-Mellon University. Sally heard about Concert Artists of Baltimore as soon as she moved to Baltimore, and after meeting Ed Polochick, became an avid fan of Ed and of CAB.. |

Barry D. Berman, Esq. Born and bred in Baltimore, Barry is married to Linda Berman and very proud of two fine sons and twin grandchildren. Barry is a graduate of the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce of the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Maryland School of Law. Although he is a CPA, he has been in the full-time practice of law since 1963 and is presently Of Counsel to the Baltimore law firm of Thomas & Libowitz, P.A. A business and tax attorney, he specializes in employee benefits law. After family, Barry’s passions are music and flying. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra since 1982 and is presently a Director Emeritus. He sang with the Baltimore Symphony Chorus throughout the 30+ years of its existence, most of those being under Ed Polochick’s leadership. As a member of the Concert Artists of Baltimore Symphonic Chorale, Barry continues to sing under Ed’s direction. An instrument-rated pilot, Barry files a Cirrus SR-20 out of Martin State Airport. He derives particular satisfaction from the flight activity closest to his heart – the opportunity to fly as a member of Angel Flight, which offers free air transport for needy medical patients. When asked why
he accepted the offer to become a member of the Board of Directors
of Concert Artists of Baltimore, he replied: “In
the 30 or so years that I have known Ed Polochick, I have seen with
my own eyes just how gifted he is and how lucky we are to have him
as an important part of the Baltimore and Maryland music scene. I
am honored to have the opportunity to do anything I can to help spread
the word and his music.” |

Barbara J. Cox Barbara Cox has been a commercial real estate specialist for the past 14 years and currently heads acquisitions and development in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia for United Stor-All Centers, a national self-storage company based in Blue Bell, PA. Prior to joining United Stor-All Centers, Barbara was a Vice President at Colliers Pinkard in Baltimore, MD; Co-Founder of SpaceManager in Baltimore; CAD Director at Design Collective in Columbia, MD; staff architect at CS&D Architects in Baltimore; and Corporate Services Analyst at Alex. Brown & Sons, Inc. in Baltimore. In addition to being a member of the Board of Concert Artists of Baltimore, Barbara has been a member or chair of the CAB Gala Committee for seventeen years and is currently chairing the 20th Anniversary Gala in 2006. Barbara has served on the boards of Theatre Project, Women in Film and Video, and the Junior League of Baltimore. She is currently President of the Ruxton Ridge Community Association, President of her PEO chapter, and is an active member of The Women’s Club of Roland Park. Originally from Irvington, NY, Barbara received her B.S. in Architecture and her Bachelor of Architectural History from the University of Virginia, where she was an Echols Scholar and Lawn resident. Barbara got involved with Concert Artists of Baltimore in 1988, and has been an avid volunteer ever since. She loves music, and enjoys sharing Concert Artists with all of her friends and family. Barbara’s mother was a member of the gala committee, and now her brother is a member of the board and her two sons are on the gala committee. It’s a family affair! |

Daniel Medinger A successful non-profit entrepreneur and distinguished journalist, Daniel Medinger serves as president of the board of directors of Concert Artists of Baltimore. Mr. Medinger is committed to supporting performing arts in our community. He has a special interest in expanding accessibility to classical music people. Since 1989, Mr. Medinger has been the CEO of the Cathedral Foundation, a Baltimore-based communications company. Among his current responsibilities, Mr. Medinger serves as associate publisher and editor of The Catholic Review, weekly newspaper for the Archdiocese of Baltimore. He also is president of Advertising Media Plus, a full-service advertising agency. Other products and services of the Cathedral Foundation include: L’Osservatore Romano, the English edition for the U.S. and Canada; Cathedral Press, a book publishing division; Catholic Printing Services, a full service print shop. The Cathedral Foundation also provides management services to publications throughout the United States and is a developer of newspaper software and websites. Prior to coming to Baltimore, Mr. Medinger also served as editor of daily and weekly newspapers. A graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Mr. Medinger started his communications career in 1977. He is actively involved in media activities nationally and internationally. He also is a presenter on communications issues throughout the United States. Mr. Medinger has received numerous awards for writing, editing, design, promotion and marketing from press associations and other groups. His newspapers have perennially received numerous awards in competitions for newspapering excellence. Married to his wife, Patti, for 34 years, they have two adult children and one granddaughter. |

Timothy Meredith Prior to being appointed to the Maryland Court of Special Appeals in 2004, Judge Meredith was an attorney in private practice, focusing on business litigation, as well as contract and real estate matters. He has also been active as a leader in professional associations; he has served two terms on the Board of Governors of the Maryland State Bar Association, and has served as President of the Anne Arundel County Bar Association and the Anne Arundel Bar Foundation. He received his B.A. in economics from Western Maryland College, and his J.D. from the Duke University Law School. A former member of the Baltimore Symphony Chorus, he also sings with the Concert Artists of Baltimore Symphonic Chorale. |
